Andy Roddick and Radek Stepanek reach 2010 Brisbane International Men’s final. America’s Andy Roddick will face the defending champion Radek Stepanek in the Brisbane Men’s finals on Sunday at the Pat Rafter Arena.

World No.7 Andy Roddick had a few nervous moments in the semi-finals against Czech Tomas Berdych but ultimately he emerged victorious after defeating the fourth seed with the following scores- 1-6, 6-3 and 6-4. The Czech gave a tough fight but Roddick turned around the tables in quick time to storm into the finals.

World No 12 Radek Stepanek defeated French player Gael Monfils in straight sets; 6-2, 6-1. Monfils had an injured shoulder and that was half the job done for the Czech.

Stepanek is in a good form and can prove to be tough on his opponents very similar to the last year’s finals that he won against Fernando Verdasco. Roddick has 5-1 lead in the encounters against Stepanek and the most recent win of 7-5, 7-5 at Memphis against the Czech indicates Roddick’s upper hand but Sunday’s finals is a whole new game and Stepanek is capable of surprising the American.
