The first test match didn’t see any contest and it was an easy win for the Aussies at Melbourne. So no wonder Ponting and men are all set for another win so to claim the series victory.

The Australian bowling attack was almost written off as it looked depreciated for quite sometime now, but then there seemed to be some resurgence in the team and the new spinner Nathan Hauritz sent the Pakistani men reeling to the pavilion with some spectacular bowling attack and was greatly responsible for the his teams’ convincing victory.

The huge let down for the visiting team though was their batting, which seemed very average, and it was rather inexperience that had cost them the first test and it is difficult to make a come back against the mighty Australians in the second test (if I am not too harsh).

The news doing the rounds for the Pakistani side is the return of Younis Khan and Danesh Kaneria, which is not yet confirmed but it hardly seems to do any good for the Pakistanis.

The Pakistani bowling attack looks pretty decent with Mohammad Amer taking five wickets in the first test has promising talent but spinners need to work hard to make a difference in the second test match and Saeed Ajmal will be main bowler to bail out his side. But the second test is largely in favor of the hosts.
