Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Delhi to host Champions League T20 2009

Champions League Venues Announced – CL T20 draw on July 30

Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad will host 23 matches of the inaugural edition of the Champions League Twenty20 scheduled to be held from October 8 to 23. The match schedule, featuring 12 teams, will be announced on July 30, Champions League Twenty20 Chairman Lalit Modi said.

The teams will be divided into four groups of three each, two of which will qualify for the second stage. Four teams out of the eight will then make it to the semi-finals. Three teams from India, two each from South Africa, Australia and England as well as the domestic champions from New Zealand, West Indies and Sri Lanka will take part in the event.
