Oct 10 ((16:00 local, 10:30 GMT))

The Cape Cobra made their arrival loud and clear in the inaugural match of the Champions League T20 against the Royal Challenger Bangalore.

The Cape Cobras clinched their first victory in the league and are marching confidently forward. And what a close finish it had been to the viewers and the two teams as well?

The Cobras will play now with the Otaga Volts on October 10, 2009 at Hyderabad. Jean Paul Duminy ruined the Challengers’ dream by his exceptional batting, almost one-handedly gave an emphatic victory to the Cobras. Duminy’s superb 99 runs off 52 balls was a corneal delight to fans and his single-handed heroics gave the Cobras their first 5-wicket victory in the Champions League.

The Otago Volts from New Zealand will; however, play their first game of the League on Saturday against the Cobras. The Volts won their first trophy in 2008 and are looking for support and strength from wicket-keeper batsman McCullum and Dimitri Mascarenhas. The Volts will have to play their hearts out in the Champions League and against Cobras who are on the ninth cloud after their win against challengers will come charging and the Volts need to brace up with more power to escape the fangs of the Cobras.
