The Champions League Twenty20 is a T20 international cricket competition in which clubs from England, Australia, South Africa, India, Sri Lanka, West Indies and New Zealand participate. Lalit Modi is the chair person of the league and the first competition got launched in the year 2008.
The Champions League 2009 is scheduled to be held in October 2009 in which 12 teams will be competing with each other. The tournament will start with the round robin format which means that there will be 4 pools with 3 teams in each. The top 2 winning teams from every pool will proceed to the next stages and there will be 19 matches played over a period of 16 days.
