Australia beat England 46-16 to win the Four Nations Rugby League final at Elland Road

Australia vs England 2009 Rugby League Four Nations

On Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Elland Road, Leeds, the four nations Rugby League final will be played between England and Australia. The rower from Penrith Panthers Luke Lewis will debut in this match for Australia.

26-year-old Luke Lewis; however, was reserved to be on bench for previous 2 games that Australia played against England and France. Fortunately he will come into the playing team of 13 replacing Anthony Watmough.

Australia had a good start against England winning it 26 over 16 and it will look forward to continue the same momentum. The player that scored hat-trick against France; Michael Jennings, will be one among the 6 players who might well start on bench along with Kurt Gidley. All said, weather will have the final say on who will be on the bench of reserves and should there be rain Australia might well pick 4 forwards for the match. Can’t wait for the excitement!
