Australia vs England 2nd ODI Live Score, Cricket Highlights – September 6th 2009

England v Australia 2nd ODI

England v Australia (10:15 local, 09:15 GMT)

One cannot underrate the Aussies team just because they gave the coveted urn to the English. I knew they are going to come back with rejuvenated vigor and mental strength and they proved me right after the 1st ODI they played in the NatWest Series.

They did bounce back and gave England a tough time. But it was Nathan Bracken who was the stealer of the show and his last spell sealed the victory for Australia.

I would still not reckon Australia as best come back. They will have to work on their shortcomings to stand a chance in the series and give tough fights every time to the England. There was clearly no team effort and you could just pick a few who have been great among the Australian team.

Ferguson looked promising and so did Clarke, White and Watson. They will have to get the momentum going to take revenge against the England team.

Although England lost the first ODI by a mere 4 runs, it looked like Strauss and men were carried away after lifting the urn and they need to get back to rhythm again to show same spirit they had shown in the test series. They need to come with game plan and execute them well in the field to get some hold on the ODI series too. There is no news as to changes in both teams.
