Australia vs England 3rd ODI Live Score, Cricket Highlights – September 9th 2009

England v Australia 3rd ODI

3rd ODI: England v Australia at Southampton
Sep 9 (14:30 local, 13:30 GMT)

With Ashes loss and pointless stay in Manchester, the Aussies finally took the lead in the seven match one-day series against England winning two of the 2 games played so far and that surely lifted the morale of the Australian team. The dressing room is vibrant now and they will not leave any stone unturned to disturb the English confidence. If they win the third ODI at Rose Bowl, they will definitely be better positioned to make over their disastrous tour of England and also help regain their confidence just before the Champions Trophy in South Africa.

In this third one day also, the team will be lead by Michael Clarke in the absence of Ricky Pointing. Shane Watson has proved good with both bat and ball in the last two matches so the team will depend on him as well as on players such as Callum Ferguson and Mike Hussey for some big scores. Michael Clarke need to improve upon batting average as it has been quite sluggish in the first two one days despite the team’s win.

On this ground England has played three matches and statistics reveal that the team has won two matches and lost one. The team is happy to get back their opening batsman Joe Denly and is expecting Stuart Board to be also fit for playing on September 9th. But the bigger question and match to watch is how England reverses their fortune in the one-day series.
