England vs Australia 3rd Test Live Cricket Score – Ashes 2009 -30th July 2009

England vs Australia 3rd Test Live Cricket Ashes 2009 Score

After Cardiff and the Lords, now the focus shifts to Edgbaston. It is here the 3rd test between Australia and England will be played from 30th of July for the ongoing Ashes series.

The home team England has already taken 1-0 lead in the 5-series Test matches. Thanks to superb bowling by Freddy who had been the match winner for the English. Australia media though slammed at the umpiring at Lords. They even portrayed South African umpire, Rudi Koertzen as clown.

Team Australia will come with full armory to prove their mettle with an attempt to level the series at Edgbaston.

In the Australian team Mitchell Johnson was much talked about bowler, as he literally pulled victory for Australians in the recently concluded tour to South Africa. However, he failed in the English conditions and could not perform well in the first two test matches. He lacked in accuracy and consistency. The Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin though backs the bowler and hopes that his performance will soon make headlines in a positive way.

Australian captain Ricky Pointing too seems in no hurry to drop Mitchell Johnson nor is he shaking up the team for any major changes.

After the historic win at the Lords (first win at the ground since 1934) the English team seems well on the top in the overall performance of their team members including Andrew Flintoff (he kind of charges up when its Ashes and his 5-wicket haul has turned match in favor of the English), confident batsmen in the form of Matt Prior and Alastair Cook and of course the big century of Andrew Strauss. There could be a little change in the batting line up with Ian Bell all set to come into the team and join at Edgbaston.  It being his home ground it is expected that he would come back with brilliant performance with his bat. There could be some minor changes in the bowling line up, but the English cricket management said it will only disclose the playing 11 after the toss.
