What a lead the Aussies have gotten already. That’s why they are reckoned as the best team. This is called a comeback in the truest sense; a 3-0 lead in the NatWest Series.

A modest total of 228 and lackluster performance by England batsmen helped Aussies show their supremacy. Absence of star batsman Kevin Pietersen is showing up on the team and they look simply out of way after 3 matches. Notwithstanding in the Australian side the contribution by replacement batsman Cameron White (who came to replace captain Ponting) scoring a match winning ton and Captain Michael Clarke playing a cameo innings of unbeaten 52.

After winning Ashes there has been a period of drought and with 3 matches already being played and lost; the English are looking seriously damaged and wounded. The sooner they revive back the better. England team captain Strauss laments that lack of confidence as the main reason for their poor show.
