What each Header in the table of epl standings means?

P = Position
Pld = Matches played
W = Matches won
D = Matches drawn
L = Matches lost
GF = Goals for
GA = Goals against
GD = Goal difference
Pts = Points

The English Premier League 2009 points table offers the fan all the details of the matches being played by all the teams in the league. The EPL 2009 table features all the match proceedings played in a table format. The table of EPL basically gives an insight into each team’s status in the league performance with an indication of points earned in each game.

The EPL league table usually is divided into ten columns and each column consists of a header that denotes the team position, the name of the team, games won, games lost, matches played etc.

The first column has the header ‘P’, which indicates a particular team’s position in the league. The header ‘Team’ represents the name of the team in the league; ‘Pld’ denotes the number of matches played by the respective teams. The headers ‘W’, ‘L’ and ‘D’ in the EPL table standings symbolise the matches won, lost and drawn respectively by each team.

The EPL standings also consist of columns that show the Goals for, Goals against, Goal difference and at last column is dedicated to the Points. GF, GA, GD and Pts are the headers that indicate the details of a particular team and a match respectively. The 2009 EPL table thus gives specific information about your favorite team in a concise manner. One look at the EPL points table will give you all the details in a systematic and ordered form, which leaves no room for any kind of confusion.
