EPL Transfer News – English Premier League Transfers 2009/2010

The transfers of players from one club to another are a common practice in English Premier League tournament. Some for nominal fee, others are quite expensive ones such as Alberto Aquilani from Roma to Liverpool for 23 million Euro, Carlos Tevez from Manchester United and Emmanuel Adebayor from Arsenal London into Manchester City for 35 million € and 29 million € respectively. Manchester City also signed an expensive contract with Roque Santa Cruz of Blackburn Rovers for 21.2 million €. By these contracts Manchester City has spent a whopping €90 million for the summer season of EPL 2009.
Yuri Zhirkov of CSKA Moscow joined Chelsea while Aston Villa signed defender Habib Beye from New Castle and also midfielder Fabian Delph from Leeds. A one year deal is signed between Portsmouth and Steve Finnan from Espanyol. Franco Di Santo and Nikola Kalinic joined Blackburn from Chelsea and Hajduk Split respectively. American player Jozy Altidore is on loan to Hull City from Villarreal and another latest transfer into Hull City includes Seyi Olofinjana from Stoke City. The Newcastle United player, Sebastien Bassong has signed with Tottenham for 9.5 million Euros. The list of transfers is endless with each day new players joining from one club to another for few more days before the tournament kickstarts on August 15.
