ESPN To Start Airing EPL Games For 2009-2010

The year’s much-awaited on-ground spectacle, the English Premier League will be aired soon on the sports favorite channel ESPN. EPL soccer fans have all of their favorite stars coming home. However; ESPN has still not made an official announcement of the same as yet.
Still, ESPN has already got hands on the television rights for two weekly slots allocated to the Premier league 2009-10, which will be telecast on the American television.
Starting from August 15, 2009 and every week the channel will present at 7.45 a.m. ET Saturday game and the Monday game will be featured at 3 p.m. ET. Setanta Sports earlier owned the rights for these two slots. Setanta Sports in spite of losing the rights to ESPN the channel still has few slots to its credit. The ESPN EPL will feature Saturday morning kick offs and the matches played on Monday afternoon.
EPL matches will be telecast on ESPN2 and ESPN360. The soccer fans in the US can now watch a few of the matches of EPL. ESPN with its ESPN2 most certainly, will be shown between August 15 and 21. The soccer fans can catch the first exciting match between Chelsea and Hull City at exactly 7.45 a.m. ET and the good news for all the viewers is that Jozy Altidore, America’s striker has signed a contract with Hull City and the fans might just see Jozy making his debut in the match.
What’s more? The ESPN EPL soccer mania will also give a chance to the fan to involve in on-air campaign and the contest is only for the UK citizens who can take part in this campaign.
