Shane Watson deserves a special mention in the Aussie innings and he played pretty cautiously and followed that watch-and-hit policy. Ponting and Hussey looked in great form. Nehra may have failed with his ball this match, but it was a clear Praveen Kumar and Bhajji who bowled unplayable line and length. The fielding is no less and Raina and Yuvraj time and again proved they are brilliant stuff.

Beginning to chase a modest 230 Indians did look in a haste to get to that figure. Sehwag wasn’t his devastating form and he started to play low and that probably didn’t go right for him. He fell prey to Mitchell Johnson’s delivery and Sachin looked to be in control having failed to live to expectations in the first and second matches. He played 4 brilliant fours and was run out just in time fans felt he was on track. Gambhir will like to forget this match. It was then the captain with Yuvraj who have been stealers of the show. Resilience, control and knack that’s what the partnership between these two batting greats could well be described. They have been in great touch as well as control of good and bad deliveries. Their 148-run 4th wicket partnership truly decided the outcome of the match. I liked the way they handled Bollinger who had been just superb at the subcontinent pitch.

With fortunes swaying this and that side, this ODI series between two great teams is slowly peaking with regards to thrill and excitement for the fans and the next match will be played at Mohali.
