Watch India vs Sri lanka 3rd ODI live scores, highlights online here. India and Sri Lanka battled out vigorously at Nagpur and fortunes swayed heavily to both sides, ultimately favoring Sri Lanka. The teams are now equal and the 5-match ODI series level 1-1 both teams.

India batted first and posted 301/7 in 50 overs and Sri Lanka chased it making 302/7 with 5 balls to spare. The visitors win by 3 wickets. It was a Dilshan’s match yet again but this time, his innings helped his team to even the series taking a win. He was obviously adjudged Man of the match.

India started off poor losing Sehwag’s prized wicket very early in the innings. Gambhir too didn’t last for long. Sachin scored 40+ but could not capitalize on his innings. MS Dhoni made a ton in the company of Virat Kohli and Raina and end of 50 overs the team posted 301 runs which I thought was pretty decent and defendable.

Tharanga and Dilshan opened for Sri Lanka and they were awesome cool and posted yet another century partnership. Dilshan made a fabulous 123 off 113 balls and with this century his count of 100s in the calendar year becomes 10; the most by any cricketer in a year. Although Dilshan’s was significant score in Sri Lankan innings everyone pitched in and Angelo Mathews held his nerve during the last tension-filled overs and go past India. It is only first time that Sri Lanka chased and won a 300 plus score in India.

India has some serious trouble as regards the bowling and fielding. From the last 2 games from what we have seen, they were not able to defend good totals and it’s something that they need to seriously work on and improve should they consider winning the series. Praveen Kumar is a failure and Yuvi’s come back should strengthen the team and his off spin bowling should help the team. There is something that seems to be lacking within the Indian team and the sooner they spot it out the better for them.

Sri Lanka should consider all this as great opportunity. They are playing against all odds, as visitors without much of crowd support, chasing big totals and in unfamiliar pitches. They could not have asked for more and things look bright for them! In all, when the 2 teams go to Cuttack to play the 3rd ODI we can’t afford to miss the excitement it has in store for us.
