IPL Chennai Super Kings 2010 – IPL 3 Chennai Super Kings Team
Chennai Super Kings are one of the consistent performers in the both editions of IPL owned by India Cements Ltd. As Chennai did not have an icon player, Super Kings went for Indian captain M S Dhoni and his entry opened the door of their icon player cum captain.
The other key players of Chennai Supper Kings are Andrew Flintoff, Matthew Hayden, Michael Hussey, Muttiah Muralitharan and, Suresh Raina and Jacob Oram.
In IPL 08, Kings had a solid beginning with four consecutive wins. They continued their good performance through the whole session under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. They secured the berth for the final in the 2008 season and eventually became the finalists in the 08 IPL season.
In the second edition of IPL, the Super Kings again showed their consistency throughout IPL 09. Before the start of the season, they picked up Andrew Flintoff. But after few matches he had to leave the tournament because of a knee injury. However, the Kings again had been able to play the semi-final and in the league table, they secured the second position.
