US Open Womens singles finals winner is comeback mother Belgian star Kim Clijsters. She won it easy in straight sets 7-5 and 6-3 against Caroline Wozniacki who played her first ever Grand Slam finals.
Kim Clijsters also becomes first ever to win the finals here at US Open with a wild card entry. She came to the Flushing Meadows unseeded, with the hope to get back into rhythm.
