Reigning Formula 1 champion British driver Lewis Hamilton wins the Singapore Grand Prix 2009.
McLaren driver Hamilton started the race from the pole position, and won the race after 61 laps. This is Hamilton’s second win of the 2009 Formula One season. Its however, the 11th victory for the British driver in his career.
There is a surprise from Toyota’s Timo Glock who finished second and Spaniard, Fernando Alonso, who had been lagging behind this season finished third for Renault. Last year Alonso had been winner here.
Race leader of this Formula One season Jenson Button finished fifth and Brawn GP’s Rubens Barrichello came sixth. There are just 3 more races remaining in this season and Jenson Button still looks to lead the standings ahead of Rubens Barrichello.
