2nd Semi-Final: New Zealand v Pakistan at Johannesburg
Oct 3 (14:30 local, 12:30 GMT)

New Zealand vs Pakistan: October 03, 2009 II Semi Finals Champions Trophy 2009 Preview. The two teams last met in World Twenty20 at the Oval and Pakistan won with 6+ overs to spare (and read this in a 20-20 match). It will be another similar repeat by Pakistan. They have started as a rusty team but picked up form at the right time.

Pakistan cricket fans are all excited to see their team zoom past the semi finals and majority of betters are favouriting Pakistan in this match. Younis Khan too expressed very beginning of the tournament that his team will be there in the finals and take the Trophy to home. They are inching close to the captain’s words.

Still, we cannot underestimate New Zealand, they ended their fans’ frustration playing great game against the Sri Lanka. They have posted a mammoth total on board well contributed by Jesse Ryder, Guptill and Vettori. Sri Lanka faltered and could make 277 in reply.

Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill are the top scorers so far in the tournament and they are sure to give some tough time to Pakistan bowlers; Aamer will need to have special balls for these batsmen who have no respect for any bowler. I still believe New Zealand will spring a surprising result and might shock Pakistan.

Pakistan vs New Zealand Final Score, Results

Pakistan: 233/9
New Zealand:   234/5 (47.5 ov)

New Zealand won by 5 wkts (with 13 balls remaining)

Pakistan doesnt deserve a place in finals; their match against Australia looked a FIXED (you read that right…..Pakistan loss is fixed) one for sure…Beat it…even if not they have never played to look that they deserved to be final…they were not natural best against the Aussies…Bye Bye Pakis…you should have played your natural game and at least given a chance to India who were unlucky to be out of the tournament…You lack spirit, you lack love for your country….Go home lock yourself in rooms and mourn to your allah about your pathetic game playing tactics!!

  • nicest says:

hey you all who are saying that we should give a chance to india. hey you fool at least you accept that in cricket india depends on pakistan alot. your team always need us to beat us somebody nd get a chance. in IPL you did nt higher our players that before t 20 world cup we dont get any practice but we won t 20 world cup. Here our team fights very well and we reached to semis. what about DHoni who said that we will give our country DIWALIs gift. Ask you dhoni to do JAI MATA alot that will help him alot. Our team is best and inshallah we will win next time. Pakistan fighted in this tournament very well and we all love it.we are not like indians fool who always watch their teams defeat. HAHAHAHAHA

  • nicest says:

BY the way indians are the big loser. we are the asian champions. you all can check the track record of pakistan against india, sri lanka and bangladesh. we have the upper hand against the all asians teams both in test and odis. Indian govt stoped indian cricket team to play against Pakistan because they are fed up to see indian cricket team defeated by Pakistan all the times. what do you say INDIAN LOSERS ABOUT YOUR teams loss against Pakistan. HAHAHAHAHAHAH. HAPPY DIWALI LOSERS

  • nicest says:

Hey you both sportsmaniac and Nuklear i think you both are biggest indian loser. dont cry because your team has given you happy diwali gift. what do you say about your moron Dhoni and company. you cannot say anything about Pakistan because we lost at the semifinals stage. what about your defeat in this tournament. Actually we won the Champions trophy by defeating india in the tournament. ask your elders they have seen the same moments hundereds of times in their lives. indian loserssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
