Rafael Nadal Rogers Cup 2009 Tennis News

The Spaniard World No.2 Rafael Nadal who clinched the 2008 Rogers Cup is practising very hard to make a powerful comeback. Nadal who was injured during the French Open this year missed out the Wimbledon is all set to come charging in Montreal. The Spanish player had hurt his knee and was treating the same for almost two months now but that will not stop Nadal from playing his normal game.
Nadal sadly lost his world no.1 position this year when Roger Federer his archrival won his 15th grand slam in the Wimbledon. Unfortunately, Nadal made an exit in the fourth round of the French Open; Robin Soderling from Sweden defeated Nadal and that was the last match played by him this year.
But Nadal has recovered from his knee injury and since then he is training very hard to be fit for all kinds of tennis courts again. No wonder he must be looking forward to face his big opponents including Roger Federer. And remember Nadal is the defending champion of the Rogers Cup; he might surprise everyone and is likely to compensate his absence with some mind blowing performance in Montreal.

Rafael Nadal comeback underway with doubles win at Montreal Masters. Nadal has been away from the tour since losing to Robin Soderling in the French Open fourth round in May – a first-ever defeat at Roland Garros for the four-time champion.
