Roger Federer US Open 2009 News

US Open tennis 2009 Roger Federer.Well, what could be on the mind of Roger Federer? He might be in a devastating mood and will be looking to take the US open by storm.

He has had a spectacular year of tennis so far; he went on to become the first tennis ace to achieve 15 Grand Slam titles including one on the clay, which was one of his weaknesses but this year around he cleared all the doubts in the air and emerged as the greatest tennis player of all times.

Federer’s 15th title came a month ago in June at Queens Court Wimbledon, in what turned out to be an electrifying final match against American ace Andy Roddick.

There were some remarks by tennis gurus and analysts that the absence of Rafael Nadal made Federer’s road to this outstanding achievement a little easier. But his final match against Roddick was not an easy one either; the match went on till the fifth set and Federer had a tough time dealing with Roddick’s some mind blowing serves, eventually he could break Roddick’s serve for just once in the entire match to emerge as the title winner.

The US open, which is set to begin this month, will have Federer’s strong opponents including Roddick and Nadal who might be disturbing his calm. But the World No.1 has no more pressure of winning or breaking records because he is on the pedestal of his career’s best tennis and the elated feeling might push him to play some awesome tennis yet again, and who knows he might well grab the 16th title much to the despise of other Grand Slam winners.
