Sebastian Vettel in 1st place finishes the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2009 Race in Style
Race: Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (Abu Dhabi)
Team: Red Bull

Sebastian Vettel finishes first at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Abu Dhabi Grand Prix assumed so much of an importance this Formula One season for many reasons. The Yas Marina circuit had been like a not that perfect racers track and the wind velocity and air temperature add to the feel of driving in challenging conditions.

Fernando Alonso drove for Renault for one last time as he will go and join team Ferrari for the next season. And for BMW Sauber it had been the last race as the team has decided to pull out of Formula One and it took part in 70th race for them.

Lewis Hamilton started on pole and he did make an impressive start but had to retire when his car had developed brake problems and it was the Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel who drove to the podium finishing first in the race.

Vettel was followed by his team mate Australian Mark Webber and this year’s champion Jenson Button finished third. The others in the line include Rubens Barrichello, Nick Heidfeld, Kobayashi, Jarno Trulli and Buemi.

Just read that Nick Heidfeld may be joining Sauber. Would love to see him on the grid again as I think he is more than just a test driver
