The two teams were in the same group earlier in the ICC T20 world cup 2009 that concluded recently. South Africa rocked the tournament until semi finals when they actually fumbled against the revived Pakistan and they in fact looked pretty small in front of Pakistan who crushed them to proceed to finals. They would have erased those bad memories and must be going with a fresh mind frame that they are an unbeatable team. Let me tell you an interesting statistics here. They have a T20 winning record of over 80% this year. They will only play to better this distinction. They have also had a 2-0 T20 win record against mighty Australians to give all needed mental strength to beat England.

Their fielding worth watching so is their amicable batting strengths. Fortunately, the team looks balanced with young blood including all-rounders JP Duminy and AB De Villiers and bowling strength in Dale Steyn, Johan Botha and Roelof van der Merwe. They have batting stars in many. Smith didn’t have a great T20 outing but will take this as opportunity to come back to making runs. In all, the Proteas will go for a kill.

England on the other didn’t have a great outing at ICC T20 World Cup though but are coming after a decent break that might have charged their run scoring and bowling batteries. They have young and improving T20 team that means a lot and the team doesn’t look at any heroes they seem to gel well and play as a coherent unit and if they put in their best with some foxy plan that will be based around stifling and tight spin and varying pace bowling with some aggressive batting they might well surprise the Proteas too! In all it will no less than loads of excitement that awaits us.
