Sadly, they’ve lost in the first ODI in spite of good display of overall game. Australia were just too good for the visitors and they won it to get the initial lead of 1-0.

Second ODI is at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday and no wonder Australia will go into the match as favorites. The young team seems to shine with the bat and winning games for the team and although they need to fire with the ball; the Australian bowling seem to be fine to contain the ranks of Pakistan batsmen. I am not demeaning the upped Pakistani batting, but they have to do a lot better to get some going in the ongoing series leave an upper hand over the hosts.

Shane Watson’s rise has been unstoppable (looks like) and so is Shane Marsh who has been rising his game seem to be good opening stand for Australia and Ponting and Cameron White become important in the middle order and Hussey might be joining these two. Michael Clarke might miss the match after sustaining rib injury and Adam Voges might replace him.

The Pakistan team will need to do homework to beat a team which is brimming with confidence and morale.

They need to learn and capitalize on the good start given by openers like Salman Butt and Mohammad Yousuf along with Younis Khan will need to pour in their experience to give a contest to the mighty Australia. They will look forward to prove a point.
