Birmingham vs Portsmouth August 19 2009 EPL Highlights

English Premier League: Birmingham City vs Portsmouth
Venue: St Andrews Stadium, England
Match Time: August 19, 2009 Kick-off: 1945 UK

Birmingham has a great track record at St. Andrews. They have won 14 of the 23 matches played here and drawn 5 matches. Paul Hart exudes confidence that his men will beat Portsmouth on Wednesday. Portsmouth although doesn’t boast of great record playing away (they won just 2 games last season) and they failed to score a goal in 6 of the 7 matches they played in the last premier league matches. They probably will play to erase this ugly tag at least.

Their previous encounter saw Birmingham notch up a 5-0 But a draw will probably be the result.

Birmingham’s forward James McFadden will be the one to watch and what a game he had against the Manchester United. Portsmouth had to sell all big players and there is a feeling of ‘this time you’ in the players’ dressing room.

There is much news surrounding Pompey and his future as well. Looks like something cooking behind the doors and obviously being reflected by the team’s playing. Pompey should get the season kicking and going.
