Burnley v Everton EPL 2009

English Premier League: Burnley vs. Everton
Venue : Turf Moor
Date, kick off : August 23 2009, 15:00 UK

The Burnley team will be looking to make a consecutive victory against the Everton, which is scheduled on this Sunday at Turf Moor. For your information this is the team that had beaten convincingly the reigning EPL champs the Manchester United.

Owen Coyle’s side had a big smile after that emphatic win at the Turf Moor after they revived back being defeated comfortably by the Stoke City in their first match of the Premier League season. The match against Manchester United surely belonged to the Coyle’s men in front of their home crowd.

The Clarets will face David Moyes’ side on Sunday and they are thumping with confidence. The side is likely to miss out the defender Michael Duff who has still not recovered from an injury. But for Duff Coyle doesn’t have too many selection concerns. He hopes that his team plays a natural game.

The season began on a sour note for the Everton team, as the Arsenal team defeated them at Goodison Park in a humiliating fashion with a score of 6-1. But the Toffees might have come over this defeat after having won over Sigma Olomouc in the Europa League. The team is waiting to hear some positive news about the fitness of Jack Rodwell and Steven Pienaar. In addition to the Everton’s woes, Lescott most probably will not return to the team forever.

However, for now it is still unclear as to who is going in as the pre-match favorites. Both these teams had win and losses after respective two games each.
