Real Madrid kick starts its La Liga tournament by playing against Deportivo on Saturday 29th August at Santiago Bernabeu.

The team comprises of star-studded players with new President, coach and even the general manager of the team is new who are all bought with lot of cash flow.

Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso has joined Real Madrid, and he believes that collective team playing will bring in greater success as it’s not possible for individual players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema or Brazilian star Kaka to be solely responsible for pushing the team up.

Besides pace, the team needs to organize to penetrate defense of its rivals. Under new coach Pellegrini, Real Madrid is expected to ignite the right spark with their agility and strength in a unified way to win back the Liga title. In the last meeting with Deportivo La Coruna in January this year, Real Madrid won by one goal but season 2008-09 was not a fruitful one for the team

Deportivo LaCoruna is a solid team built over the years under the able tutelage of Coach Miguel Angel Lotina. This team lacks funds hence could not buy the expensive players. This team rests heavily on Juca, the central mid-field player. If they perform well in the first half of this league, confidence will get the right booster to eye the Europa League.

All said there is lot of expectations from the Real Madrid, and it will be interesting to see how they will live up to them.
