Jeff Hardy the former WWE superstar was arrested today at his home on charges of trafficking prescription drugs. Police say they have retrieved Vicodin pills 262, Soma pills 180 and anabolic steroids, cocaine etc about 555 mL. He was taken to Moore County jail soon after his arrest.
Reacting to his arrest Jeff Hardy tweeted, “A lot of exaggerations are out there today. Don’t believe everything you read 4. It is not true. I am at home and fine-thanks for your concern.”
No wonder “Jeff Hardy” became trending search phrases on Twitter.com.
According to celebrity website TMZ although huge quantity of drugs was recovered from Jeff’s home the value of these drugs is about just $2,500.
Jeff Hardy’s bail was set at $125,000 and his brother Matt Hardy posted the bail. Charges against Jeff include:
- Felony trafficking in opium
- Two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance
- Felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance
- Felony possession of cocaine
- Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
