The Bangladesh team is continuing its winning spree and to add another feather to their caps they have started their campaign in Bulawayo quite convincingly and won their first ODI match against the underdog Zimbabwe team.

The tigers won the toss and chose to field first and Zimbabwe posed a total of 207 all out in 47.5 overs and in reply the Bangladeshi team won defended the target score with eight wickets and 93 balls remaining. Bangladesh Mohammad Ashraful made his third one-day century in the match first ODI leading his team to a glorious victory. The Bangladesh team is surely on a high and they might well sweep the five ODI series.

Most of the key players are not in the Zimbabwe batting line-up, which is adding to the woes of the team. Zimbabwe’s inexperience is costing dear to them, the team is just not in the position to rise from the ashes and the devastating defeat has deflated their confidence furthermore. The second ODI between the two teams is scheduled on Tuesday and the Bangladeshi team will most certainly win this one too.
