There is always something special about matches between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. Bangladesh will start its tour to Zimbabwe from 9th August 2009 and the 4th ODI will be held on 16th August 2009 at the Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo.

In this series, Zimbabwe is missing some of its top notch players but with the come back of Mark Vermeulen, they are still in the good stead. Another advantage for Zimbabwe is that Shahriar Nafees is not playing from the part of Bangladesh in this match. But the competition has been leveled because of the presence of Shakib al Hasan as the vice captain of the Bangladeshi team.

The wicket of the Queens Sports Club is spinner friendly and Zimbabweans are more fearful of spins made by Shakib on that pitch. The batsmen of Zimbabwe will need to get hold of his spins very early in the match, otherwise he will be able to tie up the entire team in the middle overs only. The biggest threat for Zimbabweans in this match will be the new captain of Bangladeshi team Mashrafe Mortaza. He is a very experienced player with remarkable consistency against Zimbabwe but there are news that he will not be featuring in the match because of a knee injury he got in West Indies. Abdul Razzak will also not play in the match due to hamstring injury but he will be replaced with Enamul Haque jnr., another left-arm spinner.

As far as Bangladeshi threats are concerned, Mark Vermeulen will be the most dangerous man on the fields, mainly because bowlers from Bangladesh team are not experienced in how to bowl to him. All in all, this will be an interesting match as there are equal chances of winning for each team.
